Các dạng câu nên dùng trong bài viết Writing task 2 IELTS

Để không mất điểm Grammar cho phần thi Writing task 2 của bài thiIELTS, các bạn nên chú ý dùng các dạng câu sau:

1. Simple sentence: A simple sentence is one independent clause

2. Compound sentence

- Câu ghép chính phụ

Dấu hiệu nhận biết: although, though, as, because, if, until, after, before, so that, that, despite, inspite of, when, in oder to….

- Câu ghép đẳng lập

Independent clause+ coordinators+ independent clause

7  coordinators: For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So

Note: Sự khác nhau giữa “but” và “yet”

I want to study art, but my parents want me to study engineering. (direct opposite)

I’m very bad at math, yet my parents want me to study engineering. (unexpected or surprising continuation).

Independent clause+ conjunctive adverb+ independent clause

Cách sử dụng dấu câu như sau:

conjunctive adverb, =; therefore,/ ; thus,/ ; as a result,/ ; thus,/ ; however,/ ; nevertheless,/ ; on the other hand,/ ; meanwhile,/ ,and/ ,and therefore,/ ,and thus,/ ,and as a result,/ , and hence,

Ví dụ: Students watch films too much, and therefore, their eye-sight is negatively effected

Các bạn cần cực kì chú ý đến dấu câu để không bị mất điểm nhé.

3. Dùng câu thay thế cùng ý nghĩa

Câu đơn:

a.Đảo kết quả làm chủ ngữ:

First, people’s poorer health is a negative effect of watching television ( cách này khó vì người viết phải biết danh từ có ý nghĩa kết quả)

First, people’s imagination development is a positive effect of listening to music

b.Dùng chủ ngữ là đối tượng

Television watchers, first, can suffer health problems

Music listeners, first, can develop their imagination

c.Dùng chủ ngữ giả ( dạng bị động)

It is, first, believed that watching television has a negative effect on people’s health

It is, first, thought that listening to music is to develop people’s imagination

d.Chủ ngữ là một cụm danh từ đệm

This hobby, first, can have a negative effect on people’s health

First, this hobby can have a positive effect on people’s imagination

e.Chủ ngữ là từ chỉ đường

The first disadvantage of watching television is to affect people’s health

The first advantage of listening to music is to develop people’s imagination

Câu chính phụ

a. When people watch television, their health can be negatively affected

b. If people listen to music, they can develop their imagination

Câu đẳng lập

a. People watch television, and therefore, their health may be negatively affected 

b. People listen to music, and therefore, they can develop their imagination 

Các bạn sẽ thấy các ví dụ trên đều là những câu có khả năng xuất hiện trong bài writing task 2, hãy chú ý dùng các câu đúng ngữ pháp, đa dạng các loại câu trong bài viết thì đảm bảo các bạn sẽ giành điểm cao trong kỳ thi của mình.
